Boarding school (United Kingdom): Students live at school during the term. They eat in the dining hall and sleep in dormitories. In the evenings, they do sports or join clubs.

Online school (Australia): Students in remote areas study at home. They attend lessons through video calls and send their assignments online. They meet their classmates face to face only a few times a year.

Vocational high school (Türkiye): Students learn a profession such as cooking, electronics or tourism. They have practical lessons in workshops and do internships in companies.

Many students feel anxious before exams. Some students can’t sleep, some lose their appetite and others feel that they can’t remember anything. A little stress is normal and it can even help you focus. However, too much stress is harmful.

Here are some tips: Make a realistic study plan and take short breaks. Get enough sleep, especially the night before the exam. Do physical exercise, such as walking or cycling. Don’t compare yourself with others. If you feel very worried, talk to a teacher, your family or the school counsellor. Remember: one exam doesn’t define who you are.
