I’m in Türkiye now! I’m a student at Gazi Middle School. My new friends are from different countries: Lucas is from Brazil and Mei is from China. My best friend is Defne. She is Turkish. Our English teacher is Mr Şahin. He is very kind. My favourite place at school is the library. It’s quiet, because you mustn’t shout there. In my country, Kazakhstan, students don’t wear a uniform, but here we wear a blue uniform. I love my new school!

On 29 October, we celebrate Republic Day in Türkiye. At our school, the celebration is in the conference hall. Students read poems and sing songs. The music club plays the national anthem. The folk dance club dances in traditional clothes. The art club decorates the hall with red and white flags. After the ceremony, the canteen gives free juice to everyone!
